Rhonda Zwillinger began her  international career in East Village art scene, New York, NY from 1980–1990.
Her early work  involved elements of popular culture and the media with excessively embellished objects in the form of beaded and bejeweled sculpture and installation. Her work was often referred to as kitsch.
In 1991, Rhonda relocated from New York to the northern Arizona desert after being chemically poisoned and diagnosed with multiple chemical sensitivity. Her life of seclusion has been a challenge but her creative spirit conitnues with stunning new work in her evolving career.
